Students in AP Statistics are introduced to the tools and concepts of exploring data, planning a statistical study, probability rules, producing models using statistics and probability, normal distributions and sampling distributions. This course also includes an in-depth study of statistical inference in preparation for the Advanced Placement exam in May. This course is the equivalent of a one-semester, college-level, introductory statistics course. Students demonstrate their knowledge through a wide range of assessments including "special problems", projects and research papers. All students enrolled in the course are required to take the Advanced Placement exam.
